Play-once modes

If you are using the fourth loop-mode (play once) you can have GRID2 cut to black at the end of the clip. You can also have it go to a random movie from the GRID by choosing “Random Clip on End” or have it automatically play the next movie loaded into the GRID. This lets you use GRID2 as a playlist of sorts (great for giving yourself time to get a drink from the bar).

Frame Blending

This will effect will smoothly dissolve between frames. Only use this when playing movies slower than 1x or the effect will not be noticeable, but it will make triggering clips less responsive.

Remember Movie Position

Remember Movie Position will remember when what frame you are on of a movie when you trigger a new clip and will start off on that frame when you trigger that movie again. Example: I play Potato.mov until frame 22 then trigger SomeMovieNotNamedPotato.mov and let it play for a while. When I trigger Potato.mov again it will start off on frame 23.

ShuttlePro Support

ShuttlePro is a popular and flexible jog/shuttle for MacOS X and Windows. The device connects to your computer by USB and transmits key presses when you press its buttons and use the jog/shuttle. We include with GRID2 a ShuttlePro preset file that will configure the ShuttlePro for GRID. If you have the ShuttlePro installed then double-click on the GRID2 ShuttlePro Settings file to install it.

Audio Processing

These features currently only work on Mac OS 10.3.x running Quicktime 6.5.2

Pitch Stabilization This will make the original pitch of the audio in your movies the same even as you change the speed of the movie.

Click Reduction Using software written by Timothy A. Place and Stephan Moore, this will reduce most pops and clicks. This can be especially useful if you’re scrubbing a lot.

If either of these is on then the audio processing engine is engaged and the settings in the Audio Settings tab of the Preferences will be used. Make sure the output destination is the same as the one used by your System Preferences if you want the sound to come out of the same place whether these two effects are on or off.
